I also went ahead and updated to Windows 11 to see if that would help. The result was the same. The update process from Windows 10 to 11, however, went flawlessly and so far I haven't encountered any problems with apps, drivers, or USB peripherals. I remembered that I installed a firmware update M3B to the display around the time that this issue started, so I reinstalled it. It didn't help.
