A couple of years ago I upgraded to Ultimate 8 and found it a lot slower and hardly ever used layers plus the other 'benefits' and then reverted to Pro 8 and then in time Pro9. Phil, I am hoping that the memory management has improved, as sometimes Ultimate 9 will cause strange artifacting and other anomalies if many layers are being used, along with a lot of brush strokes mouse clicks.
The Dehaze improvement will be welcome, and improvements to the layering would be nice, but like you said, I wish they would show the Release Notes on what is being truly upgraded from Version 9, instead of some vague Pre-Order offer.
On that note, if one does upgrade, I had bought Ultimate 9 when it was on special with two licenses. Will I get the option to upgrade both, or can I keep one with Ultimate 9 and one with Ultimate 10, and still retain the ability to reload Ultimate 9 if and when I decide to move to another computer?
I am assuming that support and the downloads for Ultimate 9 will still continue, but am unclear of this. Unfortunately the image shows the Edit-mode. Is it in the Develop-mode too? For masking, local editing etc. Maybe the announced "clever brushing and selecting" will put ACDsee Ultimate 10 way up on my priority list as I find it very difficult to apply adjustment layers to precise regions in Ultimate 9 and Topaz Remask doesn't work on adjustment layers.
